South Korea-based ENF Technology to build $45 million U.S. headquarters in Kyle

ENF Technology Co. Ltd., a South Korea-based electronic material manufacturer that provides parts to Samsung and the U.S. high-tech market, is set to break ground on a $45 million U.S. headquarters and advanced manufacturing facility in Kyle’s Plum Creek in 2019.

The announcement comes after Hays County commissioners and Kyle City Council approved performance-based economic incentive agreements on March 26 that will give ENF Technology a five-year property tax rebate beginning at 75 percent of real and personal property taxes. The rebate will then decline by 10 percent annually until the end of the agreement’s term.

According to city and county officials, ENF Technology’s investment is expected to bring the city of Kyle $598,506 while also bringing Hays County $401,602. Additionally, Hays CISD is expected to receive $747,602 as a result of the project by the end of the five-year agreement. The headquarters will be built south of Kohlers Crossing and west of I-35.

ENF Technology’s Kyle headquarters is set to make electronics for Samsung Austin Semiconductor, GlobalFoundries, Micron, Texas Instruments and Intel.
