“Even more important today, we have an opportunity to celebrate the service and long standing tradition that Jerry Benson has made to the MEDCO,” Chamber Executive Director Stormy Nickerson said. “Jerry has been an outspoken advocate for this community, not only with MEDCO, but certainly with our Chamber, as he has given years to our board of directors as our Chamber chairman in 2010. Jerry was an important part of our Chamber history, and we appreciate that service.”

Following MEDCO’s Chamber ribbon cutting on Wednesday, the MEDCO board and Donna Maisel hosted a farewell reception for Benson, who has served two three-year terms as chairman of the board.

“Having someone like Jerry on the board of directors is an asset and compliment to the team as well as the work and vision of the MEDCO,” Maisel said. “He brought to the table expertise in industry, contacts, conservative planning, sound judgment and a willingness to go the extra mile to recruit and secure a project from concept to completion. His contribution to the organization has been invaluable.”

Benson first joined the MEDCO board in 2012 and served as chairman of its Property Committee and vice chairman of the board. Benson also served as secretary/treasurer of the board before his most recent post as chairman of the board.
