Africa – U.S. Airport Issues Conference

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE) and the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), in partnership with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, are pleased to present the Africa-U.S. Airport Issues Conference – Challenges, Opportunities and Partnerships, to be held April 8-10, 2019, at the Hilton Durban, in Durban, South Africa.
The two-day program will provide a forum for airport and aviation officials from the U.S. and Africa to discuss and debate common challenges, explore opportunities for growth and improvement in the aviation industry, and develop avenues for creating and strengthening partnerships.
Attendees will have the opportunity to gain fresh insight into regulatory models in play in each country and share in an in-depth discussion of how to best balance regulation and industry-based initiatives to achieve a safety dominated culture, while encouraging innovative technological advances in the field.
Other key topics to be discussed include airport infrastructure development, developing intra-Africa connectivity, best practices in airfield safety, innovative finance models, non-aeronautical revenue development, improving the passenger experience, and much more.
