Cape Town, South Africa – Today, the U.S. Consulate General in Cape Town and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency hosted an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) U.S. Suppliers Forum. The Forum brought together more than 75 stakeholders to discuss the City of Cape Town’s smart city potential and collaboration opportunities to support upcoming investments, enabling the City’s digital advancement.

The Forum highlighted an ongoing USTDA feasibility study being conducted by California-based ICT and infrastructure consulting firm Global Resources, Inc. The study has recommended 10 investment plans in core ICT infrastructure and intelligent transportation systems, as well as digital security, inclusion and literacy.
