Batavia Chamber of Commerce names new leader

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has named Margaret Perreault as the new president and CEO of the organization. Perrault, the current membership development specialist, takes over as the head of the chamber on June 25.

Jessica McGrail, chairperson of the chamber’s Board of Directors, said that the search committee was impressed with Perreault’s past work with the chamber and confident that going forward, she will continue the organization’s momentum.

“We are fortunate to have Margaret as our next president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce,” McGrail, owner of Dollar & Sense Bookkeeping, stated in a news release. “She is member- and community-focused, which we know will be key in the continued success of our chamber.

“Furthermore, in her role as the member development specialist for over four years, Margaret built a solid understanding of the chamber’s operations and is well-regarded among our members,” McGrail stated.

“We believe this will be an easy transition and are excited to be a part of the ideas and creativity Margaret will bring to this position.”

As for Perreault, she hopes to energize the business community, highlighting the value they bring to the greater community.
