Air Canada Promotes CFO as Part of Management Shuffle

Air Canada on Wednesday promoted Chief Financial Officer Michael Rousseau to the newly created position of deputy chief executive as part of a management shuffle at Canada’s biggest airline.

The Montreal-based company said Mr. Rousseau on Jan. 1 will assume oversight of several corporate initiatives and businesses, including Air Canada Rouge, the airline’s budget carrier subsidiary. Mr. Rousseau also will continue as CFO, keeping oversight of the airline’s overall financial strategic direction.
